Hello everybody, after getting my 1.6 G5, in december I bought 2 512mb memory sticks from Crucial (one in december and one last week). After the second one arrived I noticed that it was a little smaller and only had the "black chips" on one side (sorry forgot the name), while the first one I bought is exactly the same size of the one's included with the G5 and has the black chips on both sides. Long story short, it won't see either stick in OSX.
Now, I thought they had sent me a 256mb model by mistake but after running the Apple Hardware Test, it sees both sticks with it's correct serial number, and it also says that 0/512 is active (I think), but it displays an error message that says "Size Mismatch".
I have tried all combinations for placing the sticks, always careful of the "paired" instruction. I have also: pushed hard until I hear the click, etc.
Any ideas?, because I live in Venezuela I don't want to exchange both sticks (customs on imports over $99 is almost 60%).
Thanks,
tico

update ....
Talked to Crucial, they are going to replace my 8 chip card with a 16 chip card. Any future G5 owner should be careful with this, the sticks need to be EXACTLY the same.
