I currently have a single processor Sawtooth 450 and a dual 450 with a dead logic board. Would it be possible to cannibalize the processors from the dual and "upgrade" my computer?

What he said...remove the card from your dual, remove the single, replace with dual, boot up and you're good to go.

First run UniNorthASICChecker. Some older Sawtooths had a northbridge chip that is not compatible with dual CPUs.

Hrm... that's what I was afraid of, but wasn't quite sure how to find out. I have one of the very first Sawtooths (got cheated out of my 50 MHz!). I'm quite comfortable with a soldering iron, would it be possible to remove the uninorth controller from the other board, or is it not worth it?
Edit: OK, after poking about inside I have a feeling soldering is going to be out of the question.
