Been awhile... but don't you hafta select the soundsticks in the sound pref?

Don't know... but my late Father switched to an iMac when he was 70, so I got used to the "over the phone troubleshooting" stuff, and found that starting with the simple solutions solved 99% of the problems.
Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!

They're the clear stick speakers with a sub that looks strikingly similar to the isub

The only difference is the amplifier hardware and the LED (which is enough reason to get soundsticks.. blue LED!!!)

My isub has a green LED, they're meant as "sound enhancers" and work with ANY set of speakers, including onboard for g3 imacs, pro speakers, regular externals, etc.

Soundsticls II are normal speakers.. which totally rawks since you can use it with the ipod or etc
Aloha

I have not heard the Soundsticks II yet, but if they are even close to the original SoundSticks then they have a winner. They are fantastic sounding speakers.

I like those 680s as well, but I'm thinking that I really don't need surround sound on a PC, and then I'd also have issues with wire-runs, etc.
