Hi I'm new to the group and hope you can help.

I am trying to get my new G5 to recognize a 1GB Microdrive CF Card using a Sandisk USD reader (SDDR-31). The Mac can see the reader (via "About this Mac") and in fact I was able to download pics from another card (not a Microdrive). The Microdrive CF (Card) is working because I was able to download the pics on my PC using the same reader and card.

Just some additional facts:
-The card does not even show up on the desktop
-I have an external HD connceted via firewire and the G5 is reading drive ok (especially after formatting it)

Anyone have any ideas on how to get this CF card to work. The Card has jpgs on it from a Nikon Coolpix camera. I don't believe the Card is the problem in that it was formatted originally in the camera. Could it be the reader and I need to get a newer version? Sandisk says that this particular reader is native to OS X.

Many thanks.
