I have sawtooth system with a radeon 9000 i want to use a CRT studio display ADC with it. however no power goes to the ADC port in the card because the Sawtooth motherboard doesnt have the necessary connections. would it work if I got a 28vDC adapter and connected it to the power plug on the card.if not why

Also the DVI to ADC adapters are not compatible with this display becasue it uses analog.

I assume you mean the "necessary connection" is the lack of an extra molex connector? If that's the case, just get a splitter from CompUSA.

I just had this problem. Get ahold of DrBott and get the DVIator. At work we have a bunch of Sawtooths where we put Radeon 9000 Pro and needed the DViator for any Apple LCD.

IMHO, instead of buying the ADC Studio Display CRT and a DVIator, just get a high quality NEC or Samsung CRT and connect it to your VGA port. It'll cost the same or less than the Studio Display/DVIator combination, and you'll be getting a brand new monitor of very high quality. NEC's highest end 17" CRT will do 1280x1024 resolution at an impressive 85 Hz - the Apple does the same resolution at 75 Hz, and most 17" CRTs can only do that resolution at an unacceptable 60 Hz.

If you already have the Studio Display, though, maybe you should go for the DVIator.
