A lot of people complain about the lack of upgradability for the iMac. I won my flat screen 700 a year ago at an apple store giveaway and being a B&W user i didn't like the idea of not being able to upgrade it to my liking, but here are a few things i've managed to do:

1. Upgraded the RAM to 1 GB

2. Added a Samsung SM-352b combo drive (52x write) - quite loud at full spin but burns discs in 1.5 minutes

4. Replaced the stock 5400 rpm hard drive with a Hitatchi 180gxp 80 gb (7200rpm, a lot quieter)

That's about all you can do to this mac but i didn't notice some speed increases from these improvements. Just some suggestions.

That doesn't improve the gameplay of Halo.

Hi.

Have you had any compatability problems with that drive whatsoever?

I have a 17" 1.25GHz iMac with 768MB RAM. Halo only plays OK on it. It took me a few attempts just to get it playable. Talk about a waste of money. The game isn't that good anyway

More maxed out than pimped out. I was hoping to see an iMac with a 23" cinema screen grafted on to it and an over clocked CPU to 1.5ghz. Now that would be pimped out
The worst thing about having a failing memory is..... no, it's gone.

I read "pimped out" and immediately imagined gold plating and big subwoofers.
