Ahh yes, I read this. Really cool if you ask me. I can see the next G-series of Macs using this. Sounds like it could increase the huge bandwidth even more!

So maybe rev. C G5 Power Macs (fall 2004) will have Hypertransport 2.0?

And maybe by 2005 they'll have not only HT 2.0, but also DDR2, PCI-Express, and Power5-lite?

This could cut costs a bit for Apple, since the new HT can be adapted easily to PCI-Express. Since PCI-E is supposed to replace PCI/PCI-X/AGP, they could lose the PCI-X controller on the G5's motherboard and the AGP controller in the northbridge and just run the slots off of HT. (Assuming I understand this correctly).
