i really been wanting a g5 ever since they were first announced. But should i wait for the next models of g5's to come out and wait for a price drop on current models? or should i get one now?
I'm hoping that the dual 2 ghz will drop in price when the next speed bumps of the g5 will be announced, which is hopefully soon... dual 2.5ghz i think...
so should i wait and get a nice dual 2ghz with ati 9800 pro, 250gb HD, airport extreme card, BTO, etc?

Unless you really really need it now wait a while longer. speed bumps are immanent (probably).

Wait.
Unless you need to buy now for a specific reason.
All the evidence points to the fact that new G5 Rev B's are just around the corner...

I agree with the consensus... it should be a matter of days or weeks until the new G5s are announced. If I bought now, I'd be kicking myself.

Depends on the situation and what you are going to purchase. If you are planning on getting the top of the line G5 and plopping down 2999.99, then wait.
If you are looking at the midrange model, like I was, you can do what I did and buy a refurb dual 2.0 for around 2400.00.
So when the upgrade comes you're compairing the dual 2.0 to the next midrange product that you would have got, not to the top of the line that you wouldn't have purchased.
I'm guessing the next midrange won't exceed 2.4 Ghz, so I'll pocket the $100.00, buy some Ram and enjoy my G5 instead of driving myself nuts.
