This Sat I'm going to be buying an eMAc (with Super Drive) to tide me over till I have enough for a G5.
I'm going to bring my digital camcorder and try to record the experience. (or as much of it I can).
However looking at the some of the threads, I've noticed some people are saying they're finding that the eMacs are being thinly stcoked and in some places not there at all. I called the Apple Store in Salem, and they said, even though they have some now, I should check back on Sat. hmmmm, could a possible update be around the corner? Who knows? Either way I'm buying my Sat (provided that they're there)

Huh? Let me get this right.. You are going to record the occasion of yourself buying... an eMac??
I'd understand if it was a beach house in jamaica perhaps. But c'mon, An eMac??
Not that there is anything wrong with eMacs. I have one myself. But still.. I don't get it..

The last good Desktop system I owned was a G4 400 (AGP, Gigabit, 20GB HD, 64MB RAM), I had to sell it in College with Plans of buying an updated system (Which unfortuently never happend). Since then I've done nothing but watch the speeds and all the other number go up, craving do do things like burn DVDs, make awsome movies, and use the latest version of OS X.
In otherwords: I'm like a starving man who's been roaming the unknown, starving to death, and dry to the bone with thirst. However, I've been found and invited to a feast of feasts. where I will dine and regain my strength, which will prepare me for the ultimate salvation....BUYING A G5!
or maybe I'm just a overly dorky nerd who is desperatly needs to 'get some'. I'm actually going to be taking a few PC friends who are considering switching, one of them I THINK might actually buy a Powrrbook while we're their too, So thats going to be the real reason for the video.
Lastly: I just want something to edit in iMovie when I get my eMac home.

well, it does sound a bit strange... I don't get it either. But I guess I would watch the video if you do tape your 'experience'...
Anyway, I do envy you buying a new mac... If just I had the $$$

On tuesday i bought a new Emac (My first mac). I dont think i would have recorded the experience mainly bacuse the guy i was dealing with was in a bad mode and therefore was rather rude. But even so it was cool because i got to play a 17" powerbook. It would be interesting to see how other people faired.

Well, 2 years ago I went to my first Apple Store (The Atlanta Store). I was really excited and had been talking about it for a week or two before we went. My wife, who is an avid scrapbooker, took her camera and photographed the whole thing. I was very emabarassed but hey, I didn't care! I was playing with the new FP iMacs. So, my take on this is...go for it. Enjoy it. Have fun.

Way to go! I plan on recording my iBook experience when I purchase one too! Like you, I'm also craving to do some iMovie stuff and would just love to capture the moment I've been waiting so long for - haha. I just want to run OSX!!!
