I just installed a LG-GSA4081B on my Yosemite G3 350. It works well under 10.3.2, even better with PatchBurn II (you get iTunes support). But if I try to start my Mac under Mac OS 9, not Classic environment, it does not start. Same thing for start from cd-rom holding C key down. Panther disc OK, Mac OS 9 nope. So, could an unsupported dvd drive to avoid Mac OS 9 launch?

OK, the burner is back to store, so, if you need an internal and speedy dvd burner and you are a Mac OS X user, get it. But if you also need Mac OS 9, ignore it.

the general rule is to avoid LG's products like the plague. their quality control is worthless.
