I need another harddrive but have two already. I have a G4-400. Can this 3rd harddrive be put in right away, or do I need another pci-card? And what about Serial ATA? Can I use one of these drives?

You can have 4 IDE devices in that machine. Simply attach it to the IDE cable the cd/dvd/cdr/whatever is attached to. Make sure you set it to slave though.

Forgot the sata... You will need a pci card for those. Probably best just to stay with the IDE drives though and save up for a new G5! Waiting is ok too, I am using an older computer than you... G5 anytime now!!!
