I have a 1Ghz Dual Quicksilver with a Super Drive, but I also want to install a Combo Drive I pulled from a dead eMac. Is it possible to do this with this model G4?

Not without a hacksaw.

You should probably just buy an external FireWire case for the drive, they can be had from NewEgg brand new for around $42.

If that is my only option, then would it make sense to pull the Super Drive (2x) and put that into an external casing while then inserting the Combo Drive. Theoretically ( I hope), I should then be able to use my Super Drive on my other machine (Ti Book) as well as my Quicksilver.

Not if you plan on using iDVD. The DVD-R needs to be recognized on the ATA bus.

What about DVD Studio Pro? Does that need to have the DVD-R drive on the ATA?

Nope, DVDSP can be used on external DVD-R drives.
