We recently had an incredibly long thread about the 8500. And a few days ago MacNN listed the Australian article with instructions on how to flash a PC Radeon 7000. The fellow used a Powercolor 32mb card. So I bought a 64mb version yesterday to put in an old G3 desktop. Anyone had luck with a 64mb PC Radeon 7000? If so, how'd you do it?

For me, the flashing on the PC side went fine using his instructions but on the Mac side I got a "slot C1 error" half way through. The card doesn't work. Any suggestions? Is there any point in trying to exchange it for the 32mb version?

WizOsX,

There is an enormous thread on this subject and detailed instructions (which worked for me) in the FAQ over at Cubeowners

Great bunch of folks there, BTW.

Good luck,
