.

I now have a G3 266 with the XLR8 processor upgrade to 466 .

Can the clock speed be increased safely - if so how ?

Thanks from a new G3 owner .

What do you want to do with your G3? What OS do you intend to run? What apps?

What are the detailed specs of your system?
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

G3 266 upgraded w/XLR8 to 466
3 126 ram chips
stock video & hard drive
A/V connections
new keyboard , mouse , microphone
OS 9.2.2

This machine is in mint condition - a friend asked
if I had increased the clock speed .
I see the jumper block but do not know any of the
settings or if it is safe to do .

I will use this machine as a storage device and internet
connection for transfer of data .

Any help appreciated

.

I will give you a hint b/c I am using basicallly the same system. Do not try. The G3 chip on the computer is not designed for higher speeds. You can try if you want though... Try xlr8yourmac.com for help on this.
