So, i am going to hook a 15'' CRT in addition to my emac display. And..so i guess what you are supposed to do is use that VGA cable to hook it up. So..when i do that my CRT will just mirror my emac display automaticly, or do i have to install some software?

Thanks.

First since you have an emac, you'll be needing one of these

And yes it will automatically mirror your desktop w/ out additional software.

By "one of these," I'm assuming you mean the Apple VGA Display Adapter, available from the Apple Store in the Apple Accessories section. The link you provided no longer works.

Also, for the original poster, using this hack will allow you to span the eMac's display over the two screens, which you may or may not find useful. It'll only work if you have one of the "newer" (post May 2003) models though, not one of the originals.

And now a question for anyone who might know; the eMac doesn't come with a VGA Display Adapter cable, but my old 600MHz iBook did. Will the cable that I got with my iBook work with the eMac?

Yes it will. They changed the jack for the DVI models, but the VGA jacks are identical.
