A buddy's G5 SuperDrive died and is currently getting a replacement. Would my SuperDrive from a Quicksilver 2002 machine be able to work in place of the dead SuperDrive in his G5?

I bought a Pioneer DVR-105 for my 533 Digital Audio G4. A few months later, I ordered my G5 with a combo drive to save money. I just swapped them out. It was really hard getting the Superdrive out of the G5 though.

No, I bought the G5 before iLife '04 was announced. I can't remember if it came with iDVD or not but I already had so it didn't matter to me.
