I can't decide between the powerlogix dual 1.2 or the gigadesigns dual 1.2 for my sawtooth. Im kinda leening towards the powerlogix because it uses the newer revision of G4 that produces less heat. let me know wut u think

GigaDesigns.

Go with PowerLogix if you want a product that can't be tinkered with from a company with terrible tech support.

Hi, I'd like some input on this too. I have the same question Powerlogix or GigaDesigns for thier top end duals (to upgrade my QSDP800). Price diff is significant.

The main difference seems to be the powerlogix uses 7457's with 512 L2 cache, which is twice as much as the GigaDesigns 256k L2. Any other advantage to the 7457 (don't care about running hot or not, my QSDP800 has 47 meeelion fans, plus both of these upgrades are cooled).

Thanks!

I have installed several of the GigaDesign upgrades in AGP G4's with no problems. I have heard horror stories regarding the other companies. Go with the GD system. Go to the XLR8yourmac.com web site and see what people are saying about the two companies.
Yes, I know I could buy a PC, but why?

No problems with the GigaDesigns I've installed (3), I recommend them.
