it seems to be emmiting an odd clicking sound audible from about 1m away and its starting to annoy me. i was wondering what advice i could recieve from here?
any help is welcomed

I believe Apple's acknowledged the problem and their answer is take the machine to an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider to have the power supply replaced.

You are right.. "The 600 W power supplies of some Power Mac G5 dual 2 GHz and dual 1.8 GHz computers may periodically make a buzzing or "beeping" sound."

It involves with the part# 661-2904
