When I bring my iMac out of darkened display, it takes approximately 45 seconds to obtain normal intensity. Has anyone else observed this problem? My G4 15"PB returns to normal intensity immediately.

That sounds pretty much normal. My FP take a few seconds to "warm up". My iBook does the same thing also.
