I'm still shopping for my first Mac, and I just noticed the online Apple Store has refurbished 20" iMacs listed...however, they have a 30-day waiting period (which no other product has). Is this possibly a clue that new products are coming out, and they are pre-selling store demos and whatnot in lieu of them being yanked out of the stores for the arrival of the new stuff? Or is this something that happens regularly? I'm probably REALLY stretching on this one... I just really want an iMac, and I don't want to buy one the day before they're updated.

When the refurbs stop showing up or do a big drop in price it means a upgrade is coming. I have heard from a guy at compusa that the g4 powermacs will drop to 849 in april so hang on till then
Nice catch! I have been waiting to see what the prices of the 20" iMac G4 would do in the refurb section... I too am waiting for an iMac G5. I need one with a big screen too!!!
Hmm, could indicate a revision,. but I don't think that there are many of the 20" iMac about anyway, hence there will be vastly fewer refurbs than on other products...
An update is long overdue, but I don't think this is the herald of it...

Interesting... care to tell more?
Have to say that from my experience, CompUSA is always the last to know about things, but I am always open to be surprised...
