I've noticed a few people claiming recently that if you upgrade the ROM in a Beige G3 to the Rev. C ROM that the machine will now properly use one-sided, high-density 8-chip 256mb DIMMs. But all the articles on this say that there is only one benefit to the "best" ROM, and that's the slave-drive support. Anyone have any luck with high-density DIMMs? Or know of any other benefits of the "best" ROM?
