On the step where it says "Please choose the destination volume you want to install on" there was nothing listed. So I took out the disc (install had not begun yet) and tried to start puter as usual.... what I got was a flashing icon of the earth (network icon). I ran TechToolsDeluxe and everything passed except "Volumes"... the diagnostic said original "14gb" info and that it would replace it with "0gb" - I didn't go forward with the repair cuz I didn't want to lose all my data.

Does anyone have any suggestions/help/advice? Please...

PS - I also posted this in the software forum. Trying to get any and all help.

My iMac 400 dv died a couple of days ago when I attempted to install Panther. I get a blank screen when I start it up and some funny noises. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to revive it? I am desperate to get it working again and any response would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
