I'm trying to get some prices on good a good 256 MB stick of RAM for an old iMac that I'm working on, so that it can run 10.3. Any suggestions as to what online sights have the best RAM for older iMacs and will ship to Canada?

Don't know about the shipping part but I have always had good luck with Memorytogo. Check out ramseeker for lowest prices. I put a gig in my iMacDVSE 400 at about OS X 10.1. It feels pretty snappy.

Here's some Canadian sites for you:
Tiger Direct
DirectDial
I assume you're looking for SO-DIMMs for this "old iMac". If so, I saw that Tiger Direct had them, but I didn't have a chance to check out the second link.

I think you have g3 mac perhaps then you can buu any OEM memory PC133 and it will work in G3 iMac as it uses PC100 memory. Going to PC133 which is downward compatible should take any timing errors and hence any cheap brand should work just fine.

Careful now, Mac's are much pickier than PC's, especially after those last firmware updates.
I just got another 512 stick from OWC . .....plugged it in and worked perfectly, no hassles.
Go team....rah

I bought two 256 MB of sticks of RAM from TransIntl and installed them in my now dysfunctional Bondi Blue iMac (see GLOD thread).
One stick unfortunately failed, but they quickly replaced it after I sent them the defective stick. You know you have bad RAM when the iMac's orange light stay lit with no startup chime. Remember that.
