Hi,

one of my friends bought a powermac a while ago and was using the internet (through dial-up) she then installed norton and microsoft office and despite using the same PPP settings she cant get a connection.

I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on what the problem could be, also is there any way to send strings to the internal modem to check that it is working, I know you can do it in windows through hyperterminal, is it possible to do the same in Jaguar? also what are the correct strings to send to check the modem is working?

Thanks for your help.
