Hi all,

I just ordered a 1.25 GHz, 160GB, 512 MB 17" iMac!

I don't think i will be able to sleep tonight, (i'm too excited)
They said it would be here by wesnday.

I would really appriciate if you guys could give me some insight, as to how good/ bad the iMac... what do you guys like best about it???

Cool new iMac, I have a 1Ghz 17" imac for just over a year now, and i love it

Best thing - Screen ,DVD burner and the whole damn design.
Bad thing - probably upgrades, but meh!

Yeah it's a great machine, stable, fast, great screen and very quiet. You are going to love the 17 inch screen...

I only hope Apple isn't going to release a G5 iMac in a couple of weeks...

What do I like about my iMac that is like yours?

EVERYthing!!!

You won't get any sleep once it arrives as you'll just keep discovering great things about it!

The only slightly negative thing is Apple support(at least here in the UK). It is soooooo sooooo slow and takes ages to get through to a human, more that 40 mins on most occasions.

However, I would thoroughly recommend the MacNN forum and Apple knowledge base (AKB) as highly effective problem solvers. Remember that if a problem crops up , stay calm and use the forum and AKB.

What is there to love? EVERYTHING!

I'm using a 17" iMac (800) and it's been a joy to use. The screen is just awesome and the more you use OSX the more you love it.
