When using Nortons I am continually coming up with "Major error found...catalog B-tree, node 3378, record 67". Could be other nodes and records, but always catalog B-tree.

This after running Nortons, Diskwarrior AND aclean install of my operating system, as well as getting rid of most all minor programs.

any clues?

Have you tried running a surface scan? Have you tried running an extensive hardware test on your RAM?
