In my case, I don't believe it is a heat issue. It can happen almost immediatly after powerup -- or after the system has been running for more than 24 hours. It has happened in the middle of the winter when the temp in my house was in the 60's and in the summer when the temp has been in the upper 80's. To me, it still looks like an OS bug since it is happening across a broad cross-section of different types of macs.
