Hi there
I've just installed a Keyspan Usb card on my G3 Tower 300mhz ,510 model.
I'm having problems with it recognising some of my usb devices.
I'm running 9.2 at the moment, I have the OSX disc's but after reading up about it's compatibility with beige G3's ,I'm not sure I want to install it.
Anyway, it will see my usb keyboard, but won't recognise either my usb broadband modem (speed touch) or my logitech usb mouse.
Is there an issue with this brand of usb card's with G3's?
Am I better of replacing it with another one or are there any other solutions I should try first?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards
Robski

First of all, regardless what the device is (and whether it has drivers), it should show up in the Apple System Profiler.

Second, I don't believe their are any USB drivers for any Mac OS to support any type of USB/Ethernet adapters (or USB broadband modems). Hook the modem up to your ethernet port. If the modem doesn't have an ethernet port, get a new modem.

Use the Apple System Profiler to diagnose your mouse problem.

I found out this to be a problem with Beige G3s and USB cards:

Make sure you are installing Mac OS 9 from a RETAIL CD, not from an OEM iMac, G4, etc. Our beige G3's USB cards refused to work correctly when using OS 9 from an eMac. After installing from a retail CD, they worked fine.
