Well heres the deal! I have a 600MHz G3 i have a rather odd situation going on the unit is loaded with OS9.2/PANTHER verey stable for 10 months.
I seems all the cds that burn are fine as long as i do not take them out!!!!,these cds burned fine closed out all cool, they will mount and read in other macs, commercial dvd/mp3/cd/ machines it will even read in a frigginPC!!!!!
Checked and recheked all software, does this oddity in os9&os10 or lack there of burns go fine, but will not mount or read its own work once it is removed.
All kinds of media used Verbatim/TDK/SONY etc... any thoughts out there

Sorry don't quite understand.

Are you saying your iMac cannot read its own burned CDs if you eject them then put them back in?

Sounds very odd.

Please give us some more facts to work with.

Are you burning in OS 9 or OS X ?
Which OS is NOT reading the disc ?
What kind of burning software are you using ?
Toast ? Or directly from the Finder ?
