Would this be possible? If I got a single processor g5, can I get it upgraded to a duel g5 some how?

I think the original 1.8's could be but the 1.6's (the only single there is) cannot.

No, you can't. The internal hardware of the machine is too different.

currently you cannot. The single processor machines only have a single processor bus ( connector) on the motherboard. However eventually when the g5s begin to become obsolete ( a very long time) 3rd party processor upgrades will probably become avaliable , this happened for the G4s. Maybe then a manufacturere will be able to make a shared bus dual processor upgrade.
