Does anyone else look for a simple single g5 "or g4 for that matter" flat desktop style Mac without a monitor? I got me a really nice monitor, but would like to save some space by just putting it on top of my computer, but having a tower is not going to make that a possibility. Apple used to make desktop style computers, what happened? Anyone know if this may be a possibility again in the future? I heard of people wanting “headless iMacs”, and looking at the xServ, it would not be too hard to make a small and compact g5 PowerMac, right?

Or, am I just ranting about something that doesn’t really have any sort of relevance to the real computing world?

Pizza box computers are few and far between these days.

A few issues...

Space: PCI and Graphics cards, there is very little in a pizza box mac.

Expandability: Hardly any for extra hard drives etc

Cooling: How would get the heatsinks needed for modern chips in there and maintain airflow? You can't.

The days of the flat Mac and PC are long gone I'm afraid.

Too bad, but agreed. My first Mac was the LC. A heck of a machine and space saver back in the day!
