I am trying to determine if this problem is unique to my dual G5: Occasionally when the machine wakes from sleep the audio is "messed up". The sounds are attenuated considerably, and every sound is accompanied by a louder low frequency buzz. The only fix is a reboot.

-Bryan

Update: Apparently the problem is recognized by the system. There are many log entries like - "May 28 17:46:11 localhost kernel: Sound assertion "!success" failed in "AppleOnboardAudio/K2Platform.cpp" at line 320 goto Exit"

Same problem here. In my case it happens almost every time the computer wakes from sleep. Now I rarely let it sleep to avoid having to reboot. Dual G5 1.8
