Hi.

First post to this forum!

I have a question for April 2004 model eMac owners.

I'm thinking of buying an eMac and running it at 1152x864 resolution.

Question is, what is the maximum refresh rate that I would get?

I talking about the newest model, with ATI Radeon 9200 video.

I'm hoping for at least 85Hz, but some sources state 75Mhz - isn't that maybe for the older models?

[update: by the way, just ordered my eMac]

My October 2003 eMac offers an 80 MHz refresh rate at 1152x864. It seems reasonable that your newer model with a better video card should do at least that well.

Got me one of those newfangled eMacs myself, and the refresh rate at 1152x864 is 80Hz, only 72Hz at 1280x960. 89Hz at 1024x768, but that's silly.

Before I got the eMac, I thought I'd be running it at 1280x960. However, at that resolution, everything looked too small on the screen for me. It didn't flicker; I couldn't tell that it was such a low refresh rate. But damn, were things too small. So, I run it at 1152x864 and everything is just the right size. The screen does not flicker; yay.
