Can anyone offer advice to help return sleep to my mac? It will not sleep via apple menu or energy saver prefs.
I have one pci card, an Orange Micro usb 2 but even upon it's removal there's no sleep. Also, I have a separate partition with 10.2 and that one sleeps fine. I've tried the following:
repairing permissions
safe boot
archive and install
DiskWarrior
PMU reset
deleting systempreferences and powermanagement .plist files
unchecking 'receive faxes on this computer'
unchecking all wake options in energy saver
unchecking 'set date & time automatically'
I have a suspicion that the problems lies with the ApplePMU.kext extension but I can't prove it. This is what I get from the Console system.log when I attempt to sleep:
Jun 6 10:51:57 localhost mDNSResponder[195]: mDNSResponder Sleeping at 2916543

Jun 6 10:52:06 localhost kernel: AppleNMI unmask NMI

Thanks.
