It doesn't appear that the new XServe RAID uses SATA as its primary bus, but rather continues to use independent ATA/100 busses. So is there any difference between the 1st generation RAID and the new ones (introduced in January) besides the size of the drive modules?

Just curious. It's looking to me like that's all that changed.
