Anyone order a CTO/BTO 2.0 last week or this week? If so what is your ship date?

I CTO'd a 2.0+9600XT

On or before: 6/18

Is everyone who is ordering a 9800 XT getting a 7/1 ship date? My gut feeling is that ATI will not come through on these cards and it will get pushed back. Perhaps I'm just being negative.

It was my credit card as well, they just called to verify the transaction. I wish mine would ship! I ordered 3 hours after you.

Luckily it didnt ship over the weekend, as I have finals right now!

Ordered my 2.0 rev b last friday from smalldog 06/11/04. Its a CTO .I dont think apple has even shipped it to smalldog yet? Has anyone recived their 2.0 rev b yet?
Maybe they wont ship until the 29th, when magically they will turn into 2.5's since apple really did have 3.0 chips---- hahaha- anyway still waiting

Dual 2 GHz Powermac rev. B
512 RAM (Upgrading to 2.5 with third party ram)
250 GB SATA HD
ATI Radeon 9600
BT + Wireless Keyboard + Wireless Mouse
17 Inch Studio Display

My order was supposed to ship today, 6/17/04, but now my ship date is 6/29/04. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to deal with the anxiety involved in waiting for a Powermac?

Call Apple, they'll be able to tell you if your computer has been assigned a build number, which means it is currently on the floor being assembled.

Something is weird here............smalldog has no shipping date from apple. I've only heard of a couple people receiving these phantom 2.0 rev b's ? Whats up with that????

My computer has a build number, what that means as far as shipping goes, I'm not entirely sure...

I ordered a DP1.8 G5 with only the ATI 9600 upgrade on the 9th. My original ship date was the 18th and got bumped to the 28th. My friend ordered a stock DP1.8 and it only took 2 days to get to him. Seems they're lagging on the BTO computers. Hopefully they havent run out of 9600 cards.

Also, educational discounts, i think, have a lower priority than full price orders. Employee discounts are even lower priority than the edu.

I also noticed that there was the charge pending on my credit card (i.e. not charged yet, just reserving room) a few days ago. today its doubled and more than my credit limit on that card. I may have to look into this.

If it has a build number, I believe it is up to three business days from the time it was assigned before it will be shipped.

I ordered a 2.0GHz with 1 GB of RAM, combo drive, and a 9600. It originally said 5-7 days, then the next day changed to "On or before 6/24", and then tonight I got an email from Apple saying it has shipped!

Well not to rub salt into your wound SafariX , but I just checked and Fedex says my delivery for Monday is "on the truck". I don't know if they will deliver on a Saturday or not, but I hope so.

My Computer shipped with a tracking number. Actually, its already at the FedEx facility near me, but I won't get it until Monday. The ship method was upgraded to overnight! Apple really came through on this one. Its going to arrive on the same day that I originally anticipated before my revised ship date.

Lucky bastage! When did you order? I ordered 6/10 and I just got an e-mail last night telling me it is now "on or before 6/30" and i just got the 2.0+ 9600. I'm not too surprised by my luck

I'm moving up from a Ti 667 DVI. All the Photoshop/Illustrator/Lightwave/Dreamweaver work I've ever done has been on this machine, so this is my benchmark for computing. I don't think I fully comprehend how quick this new machine will be....

Looks like Fedex Home Delivery is only Tues-Sat. Both our computers are probably just sitting on a dock down in Elk Grove. I wish i could just drive down there and pick it up. Maybe apple will have upgraded the shipping to Fedex Express and they will deliver today.

Mine is FedEx 2Day according to my Apple OrderStatus. Does that mean it is FedEx home delivery, or regular Fedex?

Thats what I noticed as well on FedEx's website. I'm hoping it went 2day FedEx as indicated, which means we COULD get them tomorrow (today is highly unlikely).

Called Fedex. they said they dont show the package as being picked up yet and the delivery date is shown as the 23rd. So i wont get it today but there is a chance for tomorrow.

The option to transfer Applications, Documents, and Setting from another Mac via FireWire is awesome. It took 20 minutes to transfer everything from my PowerBook. All my Application preferences were preserved! My setting up was very minimal.

I got info on my tracking number now.
Fedex says they picked it up in Fullerton eventhough the Apple email said it was being built/sent from Elk Grove. Maybe it went from Elk Grove to Fullerton to Oakland to Sacramento. the long way.
Anyways delivery tomorrow. I think i may take a sick day.
