My dualie shipped from Anaheim, CA on Tuesday. I remember Apple saying that manufacturing had been moved to a third-party in Southern California, but I didn't think it would be that close. The serial number starts off with G8, I believe which is the manufactuer code. Did anyone else in here buy a CTO machine with a serial starting with G8? Where did it ship from?

BTW, my whole interest in it is because I live a stone's throw from wherever they are doing it. ¡Muy curioso!

Mine was made in Ireland.

I want a Californian one! I bet the Californian ones are really laid back, healthy, cool and tanned. The Irish one I have is always asking for Guinness and is constantly on the phone to its best mate 'Paddy'.

It's nice to know Apple is employing US assembly plant labor.

THE OC is certainly not representative of where we live!

I will take a G5 no matter where it is made.
