Eeeeh, not to forget about the small number of people who actually have one or the other. My Mac is too old for either one of them, so my answer has to be `no', but that doesn't mean these technologies don't have their merits.

I can only second PowerMacMan.

I have a ATTO ExpressPCIProUL4D with 2 SEAGATE 10K SCSI hard drives that are setup as a RAID. The ATTO ExpressPCIProUL4D was designed to take advantage of the PCI-X architecture in the G5. I boot from the RAID, it makes things wicked fast!

Maybe yoyoman meant: Who uses either Firewire 800 or PCI-X?

Well, but most of us don't have this in their machines. I will probably not get any PCI-X for a foreseeable period, because I like mobile macs.

So no big surprise.
