I finally took the plunge and ordered a dual 2.0 PowerMac.

A couple of questions:

1. What does a status of "open" mean on the order status page? It has been in the "open" status for a couplle of days

2. I selected standard overnight shipping, how do they ship it? I have hear horror stories on fedex home. If standard overnight is fedex home can I change the shipper?

Open means that Apple has secured payment authorization and the order is "open" meaning it's either being built (if you went the CTO route) or is being picked for shipment. In most cases the computer will ship by the "On or before" date listed to the right of the computer on the Order Status page.

Standard overnight is regular FedEx, not FedEx Home.
