How can I tell whether or not my Superdrive is burning a DVD at 8x?
Burning in the Finder gives me the choices up to 4x and "Maximum". Toast 5.x only shows me an option up to 4x (upgrade to Titanium?). Yes, I'm using 8x media.
A 4.2 gig disk took about 15 minutes to burn and about another 15 to verify. Someone told me that's more like 4x speed.
Is there a way to find out for sure?
