Dear Macnn fourumers:

Has anyone ever had there computer much less responsive when they have these two programs open, like OS X having lag between mouse clicks, scrolling is delayed, etc. Here are my system specs. This is using office x by the way, not the newest version. Though I might upgrade if it would fix the problem.

I am the owner of a 15" imac with the following major specs:

g4 800
768 mb ram
60 gb 5400 rpm hd
superdrive
OS X panther
CCCC- Serbs should know what that means

It's a real shocker to say it but I am actually very well satisfied with Microsoft Office for the Macintosh. I had Office v.X and I just got Office 2004 and both are very fast and responsive with the MacOS. With either of these apps open my Mac still runs lightening speed. Check your permissions and cron scripts and NVRAM but a restart usually takes care of slow-downs.
One last thing is to make sure that you have downloaded all of the updates that Microsoft has offered for Office on the Mactopia.com websight.
