Which size Torx screwdriver do I need for a 350MHz CRT iMac G3 (slot-loading)? Also, does anybody know where I can find a table or database of which tools are required to open each particular model of Mac? That would be nice, wouldn't it?

I don't know how useful this is going to be to you, but......
I resently opened up my first laptop, and I had to fine "that" torx size. Turns out is does not seem to be the part of most torx sets, which I found out when I went to purchase it. However, there was an all in one computer screwdriver set which seemed to have all the correct drivers, to include the correct torx. This includes T15,10, 8, 5, 4, and T3. A # 1 and 0 tip screwdriver. The driver is all non-magnetic. I found this computer tool at my local True Value hardware store. I think it the T8 that is difficult to find.

Good luck.

There are no torx screws anywhere in the slot load iMacs. It's all phillips. However, there are a couple of plastic covers over some of the screws (a total of four). You will need a really freaking tiny flathead to get those off... but, that takes you into the PAV board and CRT. You do *NOT* want to be in there.

And for the laptops... the majority of the screws are T8. A small few are T6. The flat panel iMacs use T10s and T15s though.
