cube tech spec page here shows that allegedly the cube's stock ATI RAGE 128 Pro gpu (which I'm currently using) can handle up to a "1920x1200 pixel resolution at 32-bits per pixel." I was always under the impression that the cube's stock card would not be able to handle the 20-inch apple lcd, but this seems to indicate that it can handle not only the 20 inch lcd, but even goes so far as to speculate that it will be able to drive the 23-inch HD Display! is this true? Under the 20-inch tech specs it shows the requirements being "Power Mac G4 or G5 with NVIDIA graphics card or ATI Radeon 7500 or better graphics card." This does not seem to match up.

Have you checked over on Cubeowner ?

I would be shocked if someone over there hasn't tried this, at the very least their collective experience may be able to shed some light on your question.

The stock ati card cannot drive the 20" cinema display. I know I tried back in the day I owned a cube. The other poster pointed you to cubeowners.com they have an excellent faq which documents what card will work with the cube and monitor.

Good Luck
