My Rev A iMac has returned home after spending the past 3 years with my parents. Now I'll be passing it down to my 3 year old son to play some toddler games. I'm looking at Fastmac's upgrade card solution (466 G4 upgrade for $199).

What I would like to know is:
1. What is the absolute MAX ram I can put into this machine?

2. What type of hard drive can I install and how big does it have to be to hold panther? (OBTW, I understand that it needs to be partitioned with 8 Gigs with ALL the sys info on it. Is that correct?)

Thanks in advance!

I believe it's a 3.5" (E)IDE drive. I recommend that you add one that's at least 30 GB.

that is incorrect. you can take it up to 512. the spec sheet is old and reflects the technology of that day, they now put more ram on a card. you just need to make sure you purchase the correct ram card that is fully compatible such as:

I figured someone would correct me on that. Apple should change its spec sheets.
