Does anyone know how to tell what video card is in their machine?
(Other than opening the darn thing up and looking at it)

Thanks. I'm not seeing where that is telling me what video card I have though. It gives me some vague information about a chipset.

I know it's ATI, but that's about it.

interesting...when i pull that up i get "GeForce2 TwinView" so it is pretty obvious what my video card is.

Which screen are you looking at? I'll try and post a screen shot.

(I'm not sure what to make of your tag-line ... was that directed at me?)

1 - in system profiler, in the pci/agp cards section. perhaps the ati cards are just identified there in a different manner. i don't have my powerbook here at the moment to see how its built-in ati is id'd

2 - definitely not....it's been there a long time (been thinking of changing it actually)

Thanks! I appreciate it.

Now I'd love to grab my 9600XT out of my PC, but the lack of an AGP connector makes that difficult with my cinema display. :-(
