Got the following email from a friend who uses a G3 iMac, am not sure of the revision but think it might be C:

When I try to get on the internet I am only showing connected at
45333, it was always 48000 before and when I try to get into something
like
my racing news I get a message as follows.
A network error occured while Netscape was receiving data
(Network Error) socket is not connected try connecting again.
Sometime I can click the box and what I want will open, other times it
just
sets there and does nothing,

Does netscape have an empty cache command? It has been a long time since
I used it and can not remember. Do not know what version he is using but
think it is 4. something.
Any ideas about the socket message? I seem to recall getting the same
type of message a few years ago but can not remember the cause of it.
