i have an imac g4 and a set of apple pro speakers, i just got a pair of harmon kardon external speakers that plug in through the headphone jack. when i plug them in it cuts off the sound coming from the apple pros. does anyone know if you can use multiple speakers with the imac, i really want some more sound!

As far as I'm aware, you can't use multiple audio output devices on any Mac. If it shows up in the System Preferences as two different devices, you can't use both.

If they were both analog, you could hook up a splitter, but the Apple Pro speakers aren't analog.
