My local reseller just shipped the Mac today, and promised me that it will be delivered tomorrow Wuhuu..

I bought a
- Dual G5 1.8
- Standard 2 x 128mb
- 80 GB hdd

Then i got myself
- Maxtor S-ATA 120 GB as secondary drive
- 4 x 512mb Elixir memory, PC3200, Dual Channel

Anybody knows anything about the two add-ons?
I guess the hard -drive will work without any problems
What about the memory, anybody tried elixir?

I just trashed my "old" Pentium 4 2.8 GHz, took the hard-drive and memory-blocks, and will put it into the Mac, when it arrives

can't waiit!

NICE NICE NICE Congratulations with your new computer

By the way.. Any recommendations for some good software products I need to order ?

I have some very regular software needs, and i don't know if any of them comes prebuild/integrated with OSX:

- FTP Client
- FTP Server

- Direct Connect Client

- PHP Editor (with color codes)
- MySQL Manager
edit: found on myself at http://www.navicat.com/

- Burning application for burning cue/bin files etc.

- MSN Messenger Client could be cool to get a MSN Messenger client who docks in the topbar, like iChat!! (Not like the original msn client, who docks in the dock)

- Skype (Not yet, I guess) ?
- Can this be emulated through VirtualPC ?

- Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 / C#
- Can this be emulated through VirtualPC ?

This is my needs hope I can use them all then i don't have to turn my pc on, ever again!

There is a closed beta for Skype which is supposed to work well. I tried it, but it only works on G4s and G5s (apparently).
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.
