I know the general concensus in Crucial but seeing as how corsair and mushkin chips are cheaper than Crucial's I've pondering going that direction. Anyone have any in their system? The mushkins and corsairs are CAS 2.5, does that matter?

For what it's worth, I have both.

Crucial got returned for a bad stick, Mushkin has been fine.

I have 2.5 gig of RAM onboard - 2 Crucial 512's, 2 Mushkin 512's and one Apple 512.

Regarding Mushkin, from what I've read/heard, some PC users have a kind of cult thing
with Mushkin, insisting on it and nothing less.

I've purchased probably 10+ sticks of Crucial, all of which have been perfect. I had to RMA a PC2700 512mb DDR from Corsair a few months ago. Both are good brands, however.

The one thing about Corsair is that they are decidedly Mac-unfriendly. I found great prices on Kingston RAM over at ewiz.com, like a 512MB Kit (2X256MB) for $91.
