What OS are you running?

If you're running OS X, you could have some extreme permissions problems. Try repairing your disk permissions with Disk Utility located in the utilities folder.

Hello,

Thanks for the reply. I totally forgot to mention that I am running OSX. I tried the disk permissions repair utility but to no avail. Nothing has improved. Any ideas as to what to do next?

Thanks!

The pasteboard server (pbs), which provides clipboard and drag and drop services, is not functioning for some reason. I've seen it crash on occasion, but usually a restart is enough to clear it up.

Thanks for the reply. I have restarted my computer many times since and unfortunately the problem still persists.

Thanks!
